Vizioncore announced Public Beta Release of esxReplicator v2.1, the real-time replication solution for the VMware ESX Server environment
o Fixed Interval Scheduling
§ Using this model, the interval can be calculated from the start of the previous interval, not the end of the replication pass. This will allow customers to set a rigid replication schedule to protect their environment with a minimum of resource contention.
o Failover Testing
§ This will allow users to easily ensure that data is remaining consistent at the destination virtual machine. esxReplicator will disable the networking capabilities of the destination virtual machine and power on the guest. Users will then be able to connect using the Virtual Center console to ensure the data is properly updating at the target
o Manual Failover
§ A manual failover mode has been introduced to allow customers to fail over to a Replicated VM in the event of a disaster.
o Free Space Alerting
§ esxReplicator now monitors Virtual Center to record storage information. Alerts can be configured based on Percent of Free Space or Total Free Space.
o Reporting
§ esxReplicator now includes support for a SQL database to enable enhanced data recording. A Replication History Report provides a complete record of replication jobs
